I met Rita about 18 years ago (we were in a bridal party together) and we got along so well right from the start. We kept in touch over the years but not as much as we would have liked to. My husband Tony and I were devastated by her death as were thousands of others. She was a vibrant, loving, caring, unique person whom we will never, ever forget. Her and Eddie's children are her legacy and her spirit lives on in them. I'm sure she's probably keeping busy photographing all of the angels in heaven. We love you Rita.
Eddie, Ozzie, Allanah and Edward, we think of you often and send our best wishes and thoughts your way.

Rita was a really speacil person to me I would always remember when me and her niece Sara would sleep over her house with Ozzie she would read us stories and take us out the next day. Whatever occasion came up she was already planning out the invitations. She did my communion pictures and my brothers first birthday card. I will never forget what she did because it was all so speacil. It was tough saying good-bye.

The first time I met Rita she was as big as a house in her last weeks of pregnancy. Rita welcomed me to the neighborhood with then two year old Alannah in hand. Alannah inspected me from head to toe, toe to head and so on. I think I passed her screening because she became an entertaining playmate to my children. Rita's guidance I valued as highly as her artistic advice. She truly appreciated detail, even if KFC was to be served the table setting would appear to be something out of a Martha Stewart magazine. Always giving of herself as in the case of my sister-in-law Meni. Meni too was diagnosed with breast cancer and when Meni's white blood cell count was critical Rita walked in the hospital room wearing a happy face drawn on a surgeon's mask with lipstick. Within minutes Meni outlook was changing. From organizing block parties to Easter egg hunts Rita gave her all and some. I can not begin to imagine the pain the family is dealing with but I can relate to Camillo's children I also lost my aunt to breast cancer. The children are grown now living productive well ajusted lives but the mourning is difficult. For this, let us remember the generosity in Rita and reciprocate that. Rita remains the heart of Klamath Court.

The world lost a truly wonderful person.
Rita was an inspiration to us all and especially me.
I was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer with node
involvement 18 months ago. I was only 26 at the time
with a 3 month old son. I became closer to Rita
during this time. She gave me hope when I had none.
She made me smile when I had only tears left. If it
weren't for Rita, I would have lost all faith.
When we lost her, I felt numb. Just as if a part of
me died as well. But, I came to realize that Rita
would not want this of me. I have to pick up where
she left off. So I am now offer support to people who
have been newly diagnosed with cancer. I know that
Rita would be pleased with me.
I truly believe that we didn't meet by accident. I
know that she still contines to live in all of us.
In all the people I offer support to and in all the
smiles I bring to their faces, Rita is there.
She also lives within me, in that special place in my
heart....
Forever.....
