Letter To Rita From Son Ozzie

Dear Mom:

It's Ozzie. Let me start by saying how I love you so much!
I will always remember how happy you were when I showed you my good marks in school. I will always remember telling you not to scream "Get the puck Ozzie" so loud during my hockey games because you were embarrassing me! I know you will be at all my games, more quieter but still cheering for your big Oz. I will always play for you, so you will be proud of me. I will always score for you!

You remember mom when I lost my first tooth and you were screaming at Dad to get the video camera and Daddy said, "He's bleeding to death, why don't you get him a Kleenex rather than the video camera!"

I will remember you when I see a camera because you loved taking pictures but they drove Daddy crazy. You never left home without your camera first. I will always remember how you protected me when I did something wrong and you would tell Dad not to be too hard on me.

I remember I promised you that one day I would become an N.H.L. hockey player and I would give you all my money so you could buy anything you ever wanted. Mom don't worry, I will grow up to be a great person, just like you. I will take care of Daddy, Alannah and Edward, just like you did. I will always love you and keep your memories in my heart forever!

    Dear God:
What can possibly be greater than the love of my mother. Her desires for peace, joy and laughter keep me smiling. She always gave me courage and confidence even when it was low. She carried me through the rough times, she hugged me when I needed it most. She opened my eyes to the wonders of life. She taught me to know what is right and what is wrong. Her voice, her beautiful smile and great memories will lead me into the future.

Mom, you will always be the best thing in my life. Mom, by the way, don't forget my next hockey game is Wednesday in Scarborough. I know you will be in the arena watching me. Don't worry, scream as loud as you can. I really don't mind, keep cheering for big Oz. Every goal I will ever score will be just for you! My team will try to win the Toronto championship just for you!

Mom, I love you and I will miss you. God, please take good care of my mom because she is a very special person.

Thank you to Ralph and Lilly Lamacchia and Massimo for loving me so much. Thanks for my friends and team mates support.

Good bye Mom!

Love and hugs,
Oz, the kids and don't forget Dad.
